In 2021, WeArt Projects launched Art Takes Over, a curatorial project of urban regeneration based on the direct collaboration between landlords and the best Milanese art galleries.  Through the organization of contemporary art exhibitions in temporarily unused commercial spaces of Milan’s Quadrilateral, the project aimed at revitalizing and enhancing spaces affected by the pandemic through art and creativity. The works of the artists invited to exhibit in two subsequent editions, were made available to the public on a 24/24 basis through the shop windows of Via della Spiga 48 and via della Spiga 31.

On a national level, the use of art in public spaces has always been promoted and encouraged by various public and private institutions. Many cities are benefitting from the installation of works of art to regenerate and brighten up the streets of their neighbourhoods. Indeed, urban art installations continue to assert themselves as a form of expression that can actively involve residents and give new light to city neighbourhoods.

Following this first initiative, WeArt Projects aims to offer a service not only to art galleries, but also to owners of empty spaces, whether public or private, who wish to embark on a journey together to place works of art for the benefit of the community. WeArt Project will handle the projects from the moment of their conception to that of their implementation to create something that every time will be unique and attractive.
